Oval Oasis

Oval Oasis is a 40,000 m² mixed-use resort located in Bahariya Oasis, Egypt — a project that harmoniously blends architectural form with the desert’s natural topography. Inspired by the urban fabric of Bahariya Oasis, the design recreates its compact spatial blocks connected by curved pathways that flow seamlessly across the terrain. Each pathway links the resort’s structures in an organic network, echoing the fluidity of the surrounding sand dunes. To respect the natural landform, the resort’s buildings are strategically positioned on elevated plateaus that follow the topographic rise from the center outward, forming an oval-shaped mass. This arrangement enhances visual balance, natural ventilation, and panoramic views across the desert landscape. Oval Oasis represents Floatmap’s vision of contextual design — where architectural aesthetics, local heritage, and environmental adaptation converge to create an immersive desert experience. The project serves as both a modern retreat and a celebration of Egypt’s timeless oases.
